Passing on the Baton & Awards Night

Caillen bought his first bike for $5.00 on Monday night

from our his friend across the street who was all to kind.

Here is a picture with his sister on it,

and then Caillen passed his old bike down to Vaughn who is enjoying his new bike,

so we will officially retire Caillen, Micayla & Vaughn's first bike, wow, a lot of great memories.

Also tonight was Royal Rangers and Missionetts Award Ceremonies,
the kids did wonderfully,
Caillen received many different badges tonight (wow he worked hard)
Micayla received her 9 badges for the year,
and Vaughn received 7 badges + 4 royal ranger of the month awards
+ Royal Ranger of the Year too!
I'm proud of all 3 of them.

We first met Jonathan's girlfriend Jenn on November 19, 2004, it was a rainy evening and we were in the lobby dorms, the kids had a blast running around and having a great time with them. We instantly fell in love with Jenn's love for children and her radiant smile.

Jonathan, you caught a good one, and like wise Jenn. Congratulations to you both!!!

Today we are going to our annual Twin Cities Church Picnic and Baptism,

this is a time when our church body meets at one of our local communities

"Lake WildWood" for a wonderful day at that lake.

Their are so many woman that pass through our lives, it starts with your Mom who loves and nourishes you, and then it moves onto our teachers and role models, they are the women that shape you in so many ways.

Their are an abudance of incredible women I'm privledged to be around often, and I thank the Lord for each and every one of them.

County Fair

Our family has enjoyed a wonderful tradition over the past 5 years... going to our local county fair..."The Nevada County Fair" known for it's beauty of its tall trees and lush greens.

We have so much to do when fair approaches, collecting those things that are fair worthy that we have saved all year, and also some that are made just weeks or even days before the turn in day when entries are due.

This year we had one day for rides, and then on our breaks we would go to see some of our entries:

Here are some Blue & Red Ribbon Winners (this is just a sample, as all together we entered close to 70 items, thought that would be a bit much to show), enjoy!

On the second and third day, we spent most of that time going to all the other events.

We're already looking forward to starting on things to enter into next years county fair.
